The results of the first stage of the 5-th joint call organized by Science and Technology Center in Ukraine (STCU) and the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation (SRNSF) in the framework of the Targeted Research & Development Initiatives (TRDI) Program have been approved by SRNSF’s Science Board on its 4-th meeting.
In accordance with the “Statement of Intent to cooperate between the Science and Technology Center in Ukraine (STCU) and the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation (SRNSF),” the STCU and the SRNSF jointly announce this 2011 call for proposals within the framework of the Targeted Research & Development Initiatives (TRDI) Program in the following priority areas:
Georgian National Team will participate in four International Olympiads. This year, for the first time ever, alongside with Physics, Mathematics, and Informatics disciplines also Biology has been included.

First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Koka Sepherteladze and the General Director of Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation Sulkhan Sisauri attended the public lecture of Georgian Scientist at Tbilisi Public School №42.
In the scope of the call: “State grant for the development of joint research and educational programs in the word’s leading research centers and their further application in Georgia”, the project - “ Establishment and Scientific Development of Tbilisi Institute of Metabolic Genetics in Cooperation with Max Planck Society” submitted by Ilia State University has been granted. This decision was made at the meeting of Science Board on 2 April 2011.

In the framework of a Call “Short-term Individual Travel Grants 2011” for the events scheduled in May-June, 19 scientists out of 50 were selected for funding by advisory panel.
The aim of the Call is to support a wider participation of Georgian scientists in international scientific events and thus promote integration of national science into international R&D activities.
