Science and Technology Center in Ukraine (STCU) has approved Georgian Partner Projects

The decision to fund 3 research projects with participation of Georgian scientists was made at STCU’s 15th Anniversary Celebration Meeting to be held in Kiev on 17-18 November 2010. STCU has awarded grants to the projects submitted by:

  • Durmishidze Institute of Biochemistry and Biotechnology - 443 100 USD;
  • Eliava Institute of Bacteriophage, Microbiology and Virology – 378 000 USD;
  • Andronikashvili Institute of Physics - 110 000 USD;

Mrs. Mariam Gersamia, Executive Director of the Shota Rusatveli National Science Foundation participated in this meeting, where she delivered the speech on the Georgian S&T system’s development and the importance of widening of International cooperation.

Science and Technology Center in Ukraine (STCU) and Shota Rusatveli National Science Foundation (RNSF) have been implementing the joint programmes since 2006. In the frame of “Targeted Research and Development Initiatives Programme” 37 research projects have been jointly funded (with the budget of 2, 4 mln USD).
