Thematic Workshop in the field of "Energy" was organized by Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation within the frame of IncoNet EECA project

Workshop in Thematic Priority ‘Energy’ of FP7 was held in Tbilisi, Georgia on 21-22 October 2010 in the context of the ‘S&T International Cooperation Network for Eastern European and Central Asian countries - IncoNet EECA’ project with organizational support of Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation.

The overall objective of the Workshop was to identify topics of mutual EU – EECA interest that could be included in the forthcoming calls of FP7.

The workshop aimed to bring together stakeholders from the scientific community of the East European and Central Asian countries (EECA) and of the EU Member States and Associated Countries to

  • Identify research topics of EECA – EU mutual interest addressing, at the same time, the strengths and needs of the EECA countries;
  • Provide input to the European Commission and the Energy Program that could be used to define Specific International Cooperation Activities (SICA) to be included in the future Energy Work Programs.
