Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation announces a call “Presidential Grants for Young Scientists 2012”

The aim of the call is to provide grants for one-year duration individual research projects of young scientists and engineers in order to attract young people to and retain them in science and assist in strengthening their capabilities. The grant is to cover travel expenses, purchase of equipment, charges for publication, salaries, etc.

To be eligible, the Applicants must be Georgian citizens under 35 years, holding a master, doctoral (PhD) or an equivalent degree and involved in scientific-research activities.

The duration of a project must be 12 months. The annual budget requested from the Foundation should not exceed 12 000 GEL for a master and doctoral students and 15 000 GEL for PhD holders respectively.

Online registration of the projects will be available from 28 May 2012 to 11 July 2012, 24:00, while the “statement on participation in the call” should be submitted to the Foundation until 16 July 2012, 18:00.
