2 projects have been funded in the framework of the call “Summer School in Kartvelology”

Two projects have been funded by the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation in the framework of the call “Summer School in Kartvelology”.

“International Summer School in Kartvelology 2011” is already underway at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University to be conducted under the guidance of Prof. Elguja Khintibidze. Foreign students from United States, Ireland, Poland, Turkey, and Russia interested in Kartvelological Sciences will live in Georgian environment during 6 weeks. They study Georgian language on-site, familiarize themselves with old and modern Georgian culture, scientific, educational and social achievements of Georgia, will look round the various regions and sights of Georgia.

The aim of the call is to introduce the Georgian culture and Science to the international arena, to attract foreign students and scientists interested in various branches of Kartvelology.

Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation has financed one more project entitled “Georgian script”. The implementation of the aforementioned project will start in September 2011 at the National Centre of Manuscripts under the guidance of Prof. Buba Kudava
