Presidential Grant for Young Scientists

First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Koka Sepherteladze and General Director of Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation Sulkhan Sisauri held the briefing for the press and announced the contest for the Presidential grant for young scientists. The main purpose of the Grant contest is to activate the scientific potential of Georgia scientists, to attract young scientists and contribute to their participation in international scientific researches.

In the scope of the contest, Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia will allocate up to 15 000 GEL for one year researches in scientific fields. The contest project should involve the scientific missions in foreign research centers.

The contest is open for all interested candidates who hold Masters and PhD degrees. Applications should be submitted online (www.rustaveli.org.ge ) by July 12. The contest projects will be assessed by two independent experts.

Professional development of young scientists is one of the top priorities for the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia. The contest of the Presidential grant for young scientists also serves this purpose.
